As a Black man in America, I’ve always felt like there isn’t enough representation of Black folks in a positive and empowering light. I felt like so much of my culture, history, and experience was centered on trauma, struggle, and strife. And I also noticed that many white folks around me, were simultaneously struggling to connect and empathize with the Black experience because all they knew was the Black struggle.
Aesthetic Bloke is my way of switching the narrative and putting positive, captivating and dynamic compositions of Black (and soon all people of color) in front of the public. Follow me on Instagram to keep up with my melanated moodboard.
